Job Vacancy at Centennial College@ U of T Scarborough

Anyone with magazine writing/editing/publishing experience and online skills looking for a 3 hour per week X 15 week instructor job this fall?

Centennial College in Toronto is looking for an instructor to co-teach a senior level course in Beat Reporting. In the course, students work in small groups to conceive of a new niche magazine focusing on a specific “beat” or theme. Each group produces its own magazine, in print as well as an on-line edition. The successful candidate will teach in partnership with a full-time journalism faculty member. Each instructor will act as editor for about three beat groups. The course takes place at the Morningside Campus and is part of the college’s Joint Program in Journalism with the University of Toronto (Scarborough College). The work is for three classroom hours per week for the 15-week semester. The college is looking for a journalist who has several years experience in magazine feature writing/editing and who has skills in on-line presentation formats. Post-secondary teaching experience would be an asset. If you are interested, please send a covering letter and resume to the Program Coordinator, Ted Fairhurst, not later than Friday, July 9. tfairhurst@centennialcollege.ca
